At Call2Recycle Canada, we believe there is no such thing as a small community. Only strong, resilient ones that make big environmental impacts every day.
We were proud to support the recent Regional Workshop hosted by the Northern Affairs Branch (NAB) of Manitoba Municipal and Northern Relations. Held in Winnipeg, the event brought together over 100 Community Administrative Officers, Mayors, and Councillors representing about 45 remote, off-reserve communities in Northern and North Central Manitoba.

During the workshop, we provided participants with collection cubes from our Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! program. These compact and convenient boxes are designed to make battery recycling easier for residents and administrative offices alike. Whether placed at a front desk or handed out for home use, these cubes are a simple but powerful tool to help keep used batteries out of landfills and safely recycled.
We’re especially grateful to NAB for its ongoing commitment to sustainability and look forward to continuing our partnership at the Public Works Employee Workshop this Fall. At the workshop, landfill and transfer station operators will receive similar materials to distribute within their communities.
From coast to coast—and especially in the North—every battery counts. And every community does too.
