October is Circular Economy Month, a period when attention is given to the meaningful role that recycling plays in recovering resources and supporting a healthy circular economy. During this period, Canadians are looking for ways to make a difference, so it’s a perfect time to educate consumers about battery recycling.
To leverage this opportunity, Call2Recycle is launching a national promotion featuring Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! Ambassador Christine Sinclair, to raise awareness, drive traffic to drop-off locations and boost battery collections.
Throughout October, new TV and digital ads will show Christine coaching a Canadian family to “Collect, Protect, and Drop Off®” used batteries. The ads will also direct consumers to enter the “Circular Economy Contest” by recycling their batteries.
One winner and a guest will receive a trip to Vancouver to meet Christine, round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and $500 spending money included.
Christine Sinclair appears in new commercials promoting the contest
The commercials will appear on digital channels such as Meta, YouTube and Google display as well as on National Television including news, sports and lifestyle channels.
Consumers can enter the contest by scanning a QR code on Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! boxes, posters and Smart Containers when dropping off their batteries.
Partners are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by leveraging supplied social media assets and posters to demonstrate their participation. Follow instructions below for best results.
