All collection partners are encouraged to take the following essential training to learn how to safely collect, handle and prepare used household batteries for shipment.

This training addresses topics such as:

  • How to safely collect and handle batteries
  • What to do with damaged batteries
  • How to safely store used batteries
  • What containers are acceptable for shipping batteries
  • How to prepare containers for shipment
  • How to avoid potential safety incidents during transport
